Our Process.
Every truck deck we build is a custom project, designed to fit your truck and your specific needs.
How we do it
Our Process
Every truck deck we build is a custom project, designed to fit your truck and your specific needs. Taking the time to properly design and model each build allows us to ensure the final product is strong, functional, and built to last..
Our design phase helps eliminate surprises during fabrication, keeps projects running smoothly, and ensures you get exactly what you’re looking for before we begin production.
This process allows us to maintain the quality, precision, and reliability that our customers expect from every build.
How We Do It
We believe in keeping things straightforward and transparent
so you always know what to expect when working with us.
Initial Contact
Reach out with your project details and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours to discuss your needs and answer any initial questions.
Project Budget
After reviewing your requirements, we’ll provide a budget estimate based on the information available. As the design develops, this estimate may adjust to reflect the final scope of the project.
Design
When you’re ready to move forward, we require a refundable design deposit to begin the modeling process.
This allows us to develop detailed plans for your build. If you decide not to proceed, we simply bill for the design hours used and refund the remaining balance.
Modeling
During this process we procure your vehicle's model from the OEM manufacturer when possible and add our decks or subframes to that for sizing. This is where we also add in any modifications you’ve done to the truck, i.e. lifts, super single tires, and accessories.
Supplied Habitat
We also get your habitat model (if you are using one) from your builder and add this to build as well. This gives you a real 3d look at what your rig will look like so you can make the best decisions for practical and financial reasons.
Final Approval & Scheduling
Once the design is finalized, we’ll provide the drawings for your final approval. After sign-off, a 50% production deposit secures your place in our schedule and we’ll provide a clear timeline for completion.
Why We Use This Process
Every truck deck we build is a custom project, designed to fit your truck and your specific needs.

Frequently ASked Questions
-
A standard truck bed is a factory-built enclosed structure with fixed walls and limited mounting options. It works for general use but creates real constraints for custom builds.
A flat deck replaces it with a clean, open platform at full truck width, giving you unobstructed access from all sides and a consistent surface for mounting virtually anything your build requires. -
The main benefit is flexibility. A flat deck lets you use every inch of your truck bed in a way that serves your build rather than working around a factory design.
This means easier access from any side, clean mounting points for equipment and toolboxes, better weight distribution, and a simpler foundation for any custom work that follows. -
Yes. Flat decks are often tailored to match the specific needs of your setup.
Depending on your build, this can include storage solutions, mounting points, or integration with a camper system. Each setup is different, so the design typically reflects how you plan to use your truck. -
Boondock decks are built in a certified welding environment with process controls that produce consistent, repeatable results.
The engineering behind each deck accounts for load distribution and real off-road use. These are not fabricated in isolation. They are designed as part of a complete system. -
Not necessarily. Boondock decks are designed to be shipped to your location or directly to your builder.
This allows you to complete your build locally, without needing to transport your vehicle across multiple locations, which can simplify the entire process.
